Djembemoves introduces the school children of the Greenbushes school to West African dance and the culture of the music and dance in Guinea.

Djembemoves would like to introduce you to West African drumming and dance in this joint participation event. We will guide it and give you the opportunity to try out the drumming and/or the dance as you like. You can change anytime during this event. It is not a workshop or lesson but should give you a taste of this different kind of music. It is open to all ages!

Costs:
$ 10 per adult
$ 5 for kids under 15

In this 4 week course we will be looking to refine the numerous movements to a certain rhythm from Guinea in a small choreography. Traditional and modern steps will be introduced and worked upon. As a warm up we will be dancing to a modern song from Mali.
