These workshops are aimed at those with more than 2 years experience of West African or other dance styles.
Contents:
Generally the following items are passed on in every workshop:
- a feeling for the music and the rhythm being played
- differences between traditional and modern
- rhythmic patterns as an orientation help for the dancers
- flexibility of the body and typical postures
- isolation of the individual body parts
- enjoyment of dancing

Particular focus points for the intermediate workshops:
- spine, breastbone and head movements
- longer dance sequences
- echauffements and their presentation in the dance
- simple arrangements
- small choreographies
