These workshops are aimed at those who have an extensive knowledge of the West African dance styles.
Contents:
Generally the following items are passed on in every workshop:
- a feeling for the music and the rhythm being played
- differences between traditional and modern
- rhythmic patterns as an orientation help for the dancers
- flexibility of the body and typical postures
- isolation of the individual body parts
- enjoyment of dancing

- echauffements and their presentation in the dance
- longer dance figures to complicated rhythms

- reacting to signals from the djembe and bass drums
